Yes, the plugin is completely free and fully-functional without any additional purchases.

= How do I start adding recipes? =
Go to Whisk Recipes section in you admin console and hit Add new. A recipe builder is part of a standard WordPress post editing process, where post content is a recipe description and all the over fields are below. You can select recipe categories, assign tags, add ingredients, instruction steps, etc.

= How can I insert recipes into posts? =
You can add recipes into posts as Gutenberg blocks, Elementor blocks or shortcodes. We encourage everyone to move to Gutenberg as it is the future of WordPress, but understand that sometimes it may be not so easy to do. If you need support for some specific page builder, drop us a line at [email protected] or create an Issue on Github.

= What is Whisk Studio? =
Whisk Studio is new type of recipe-specific CMS, developed by Whisk. It allows creators, businesses and publishers create a unified recipe database, tied to our branded Open Food Platform. Every recipe is inspected and analyzed, allowing you to get reach Nutrition Data, truly shoppable ingredients and so much more. With Whisk Studio you can have all your recipes in one place and choose, where and how you want to publish them.

= Do I need to register at Whisk Studio to use the plugin? =
No, but we really want you to try! However, if you prefer to keep all your content in WordPress you can still use our plugin even without Whisk Studio integration. Studio-specific features, like automatic ingredient images and Nutrition information, will be unavailable in this case.

= What is Semantic URL structure? =
Our plugin allows you to have better URLs for recipes, like *site.com/recipes/breakfast/your-awesome-recipe*, which is good for SEO. You (and bots!) can traverse back and forth and always get what you're looking for. For example, site.com/recipes/ will show all the recipes you have and site.com/recipes/breakfast/ will show only recipes for breakfast. If enabled, you won't have to insert your recipes into posts because recipes would become posts themselves.
